Facility 833

Abrasive Polishing & Welding. This site houses several of the company’s key operations, including abrasive polishing, welding, shipping, and warehousing.

The polishing department at this location is capable of providing finishes ranging from 36 to 250 grit, showcasing a broad spectrum of surface refinement capabilities. The welding operations at 833 are Nadcap accredited and encompass a variety of techniques such as GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), Soldering, and Automated Seam Welding.

This facility is equipped to handle materials of varying thicknesses, including carbon steel up to 0.375 inches, aluminum up to 0.750 inches, and stainless steel up to 0.250 inches, demonstrating a robust capacity for working with a diverse range of metals.

Facility 931

Metal Spinning and Hydroforming. This facility has served as the cornerstone of Helander Metal for over three decades, functioning as both the headquarters and the primary manufacturing hub. This location is the heart of Helander’s operations, encompassing metal spinning, hydroforming, and receiving departments, along with the administrative offices.

The metal spinning operation at this site is equipped to handle materials up to 0.250 inches in thickness and can accommodate large diameters up to 100 inches. In addition, the hydroforming department boasts an impressive range of presses, including 15-inch, 20-inch, and 25-inch sizes.

These presses are capable of producing parts with draw depths ranging from 7 to 12 inches and diameters between 12 and 19 inches, demonstrating the facility’s versatility and capability in shaping and forming metal to precise specifications.

Facility 1393

Machining.

This state-of-the-art facility is outfitted with 20 milling and turning centers, showcasing our capacity to cut virtually any metal alloy. This includes the ability to work with high-temperature alloys such as Inconel and titanium. The precision of these machines is noteworthy, achieving high precision tolerances of +/-0.001 inches and ensuring repeatability. This level of accuracy makes the custom-machined parts produced at this facility suitable for a wide range of industries, meeting diverse and demanding specifications.

Additionally, we have invested in in-house tooling and fixturing capabilities, further enhancing the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process at this advanced CNC machine shop.

Acquired in 2019, 833 houses Helander Metal Spinning Company’s abrasive polishing, welding, shipping, and warehousing operations.

Built in 1993, 931 has been Helander Metal Spinning Company’s headquarters and primary manufacturing facility for 30 years. Our metal spinning, hydroforming, and receiving operations, as well as our administrative offices are located at this location.

  • Hydroforming: 15”, 20″, and 25″ presses that can produce draw depths 7” to 12” with 12” to 19” diameters
