Custom Rolled Cylinders with Metal Rolling


Introduction to Metal Rolling

Rolled cylinders can be created with metal rolling.  In this process, metal is passed through a pair of rolls to form tubes, pipes and cylinders of a desired size.

Metal Rolling Methods

Cold rolling is primaily used to create tubes out of sheets, strips, plates and rods.  Our cold rolled products are typically under 0.250" in thickness depending on materail type and length of cylinder.  Cold rolling does not reduce the metal thickness rolling can be done in a single pass.

Types of Metal Rolling Processes

There are several types of metal rolling processes. These include :

  • Ring Rolling
  • Roll Bending
  • Roll Forming
  • Profile Rolling
  • Controlled Rolling

Applications of Rolled Cylinders

Rolled cylinders are used to create tubes, pipes and cylinders. These have applications across a variety of industries.  Metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, brass and aluminum are typically used to create rolled cylinders.

Custom Rolled Cylinders

 We have the capability for creating rolled cylinders with the use of rolling and seam welding technology.  We can create rolled cylinders that are 0.018 of an inch to 0.250 of an inch thick and up to 72 inches in length.
